村上さんの本をよんで、
学校では教えてくれない英文解釈マニュアル
も読んでみました。

英語の順序に
英語を理解するのが
重要とはいいますが、
今回の本で、
確かに！
と思ったポイントが、

【主語はどこにくるのか？】

というポイント。

そして、その主語
の場所を理解するのに
はじめの単語に
注目する、という考え方は、
目から鱗が落ちました。

ポイントは、
英語の文章が、
主に２つに分かれると いうこと

・Theではじまる場合と
・前置詞＋●●

もっといろいろ学びたいので、
前置詞＋●●の例を
あげてみました。

英語における「前置詞＋●●」
の構造を用いた文章の例を
10個。

前置詞は場所、
時間、方向、関係などを
示すのに使われます。

以下の例が参考になれば幸いです。

  1. In the morning, the city comes alive with the sounds of commuters.
  2. On the table, there was a vase filled with fresh flowers.
  3. At the end of the road, you'll find a small cafe that serves the best coffee.
  4. By the time we arrived, the concert had already started.
  5. With great effort, he managed to finish the project on time.
  6. For the first time in years, she felt truly happy.
  7. From the top of the hill, you can see the entire valley.
  8. Under the bridge, there was a small boat tied to a post.
  9. Between the two buildings, there's a narrow alley filled with street art.

前置詞で始まる文章は
イントロ的な内容です。

To 不定詞＋●●
動名詞＋●● で、
はじまる場合もあります。

「To 不定詞」と「動名詞」を
使った構造で始まる文の例を
それぞれ挙げますね。

これらの形は英語でよく使われ、
文の目的や行動の主体を
示すのに役立ちます。

To 不定詞で始まる例

  1. To understand the concept, you need to study it in depth.
  2. To make a perfect omelette, you need fresh eggs and a non-stick pan.
  3. To find peace, many people turn to meditation and mindfulness.
  4. To save money, she started cooking at home instead of eating out.

動名詞で始まる例

なるほど、前置詞の場合と同じく、
まさにイントロ的な役割です。

Theで始まらない場合、
イントロだと思う
